US insurance giant USAA drives digital transformation of insurance

As a company specializing in providing digital financial services for military personnel and their families, USAA has been seeking innovative and modern paths. To accelerate the digital transformation of insurance, USAA has established a 20000 square foot laboratory in Antonio, with team members from the entire enterprise dedicated to creating new solutions.

The emphasis placed by USAA on adopting predictive models also helps to proactively identify customer demands for automated and personalized services. We have established a partnership with Saffron, an emerging company in California, to design an algorithm that can anticipate members' upcoming demand for financial products. According to NASA, Saffron's product recommendations have improved predictive performance by more than 50% compared to other previously applied methods. In addition to Saffron, other notable collaborations initiated by USAA include Expect Labs (a pioneer in conversational UI), Narrative Science (creating software that enhances human productivity), CafeX (creating video collaboration and streaming software), and MX (digital currency management), collaborating with Tableau to establish a data-driven culture in technology, data, and analytics.

USAA collaborates with IBM to modernize its old systems, migrate data to the cloud, and establish a secure and efficient architecture and management model that can accelerate innovation and marketing time. USAA adopts a product centric hybrid approach to drive business value, and selecting and integrating AI in the architecture can further enhance the value of hybrid clouds, enabling faster innovation, reducing technical debt, and improving strategic options, thereby accelerating business development. USAA's digital insurance business covers markets in the Americas and Europe, and accelerates its digital transformation through AI driven insights and business intelligence, becoming a leading enterprise in the insurance industry. After entering the European and American markets, USAA plans to enter the entire Southeast Asian market and cooperate with Ju Lian Digital Community in Doha, Qatar in the Middle East, mainly authorizing Ju Lian USAA's exclusive agency for digital currency insurance services in Southeast Asia (authorization number C769811).
